Programs & Facilities

Our vast facility allows us to offer an array of age appropriate activities. We have just about something for everyone, rain or shine. Each day our campers have the ability to participate in numerous programs as a group and during "options" periods, campers can individually select from a wide variety of activities.

Food Service

Served cafeteria-style in one sitting in our spacious Dining Room...with choices and special foods always available for anyone with dietary concerns.

Medical Care

Eagle Hill has a new, well-equipped infirmary, staffed by caring medical professionals, 24 hours a day. Prior to the start of camp, every camp family is responsible for returning a camp supplied medical form, detailing their child's medical history, medical needs, required medications, and authorizing camp to seek and provide medical help as needed. Where an illness or injury exists that is best cared for by a physician, we have a standing daily appointment with a local medical practice where a child can be seen. Should a prescribed medicine be called for, we pick it up locally and the medication is dispensed from our Infirmary. There are a number of specialty medical practices in the area surrounding camp where campers can be seen in the event of a particular need. There are two hospitals in the local area, each within 10 miles of camp. Both hospitals house large emergency facilities.

Staff, please see staff section for medical care information.

Clothing

No camp uniform is required. We do request that certain camp apparel be purchased for the summer for use on trips and intercamp tournaments. These items can be purchased from a camp supplied apparel catalogue.

Laundry Service

Laundry is collected individually and is returned neatly folded, once each week.

Travel

Campers travel on deluxe-chartered buses to and from locations around the New York metropolitan area (included in tuition). For campers traveling a greater distance, we can arrange transportation from the airport at Albany, New York or LaGuardia, Kennedy or Newark airports (all in the New York City area) at a slight extra fee.

Communication with Campers

We have many ways for campers to keep their family updated on their summer experience. Letter writing days take place each week, where campers must write a letter home to their parents. Campers may use their cell phones to call home once per week, or parents can schedule a time for their camper to call home using the camp phone. All phone calls begin with the second week of camp. Parents can visit this website to both email their child at camp (arranged through an outside service) as well as see photos which are posted on the website daily. We also have a Camp Visiting Day scheduled at the end of the third week of the camp season.
